Mammoth beet “statement vegetable” – envelope
29,00DKK inkl. moms
Giant beetroot. In the picture is a pumpkin next to it!
Read on the outside, white on the inside – put in the ground in the spring and harvested late. Can overwinter in mild winters. Leaves and roots can be eaten raw, fermented, or pickled as “pickled beets” in vinegar. If you bake them in the oven with other root vegetables – there is food for the whole winter 🙂
If you want to take seeds from it, it must overwinter and give flowers and seeds in the second year. It crosses easily with other beets.
Sowing time: April
Harvest time: August-November
