Description
Malaga – Little radish
Raphanus sativus
Turns into beautiful purple radish with a white interior. Crispy and delicious – if you let a few grow further, they will become the most beautiful edible radish flowers.
If you sow a short row of radishes every 14 days, you have fresh radishes all summer long.
Sowing: Sown directly in the garden from March to mid-August.
Seed harvest: Let the radishes grow and set flowers. Then the small green pod matures with seeds inside. Wait for seed harvesting until the seed pods are completely dry, on a newspaper on the windowsill. Place the pods in a cloth bag and mash them with your hand until they are crushed. Pour it all out on a flat tray or deep plate. Carefully blow the crushed plant parts away – at the bottom, the fine seeds remain. (they are not as light as the plant parts)
